Active Learning
Active learning is an umbrella term covering strategies, techniques, and activities that require students to be an active agent in their learning processes. Active learning fosters interaction, and engagement, and triggers higher-order thinking skills of students that lead to reflective and meaningful learning. In this hands-on workshop, participants will work on the implementation of some widely used, evidence-based active learning activities and reflect on their experiences. These practices will make the participants familiar with the principles of active learning and their incorporation into daily teaching practices. Eventually, they will be able to design and develop ways of integrating active learning approaches into their own teaching practices.
